Bundy Belle MILBI Festival Cruise 2024
MILBI – MEANING TURTLE
Home, Place, Connectivity, Connection, Country, Community
The Milbi is a celebration of place, culture, art and community. It is a festival for everyone. It is acknowledgment and celebration of Bundaberg and our first people.
We always look forward to the Milbi Festival and welcoming Wazzi and her big smile on-board the Bundy Belle to share the history of the Burnett River and surrounds as told by the Taribelang Bunda people. The Burnett River is one of 3 rivers in central Queensland where the Milbi is found, so it is very fitting that part of the festival takes place on this magnificent river system.
During this 90-minute cruise our passengers will be served with Bush Tea and Damper provided by Taribelang Bunda. Time permitting, Wazzi will venture around the vessel to engage with passengers and answer any questions.
Bookings are available online via BRC Website Milbi Festival (shorthandstories.com)
